The goal of My Slow Computer is to provide FREE information for the non technical users to help you fix common PC problems easily, quickly and safely. For advanced users we’ll provide some further insights into how things work and more advanced techniques. All these techniques will be things you can try yourselves without spending any money.
This site came about after seeing how many software products claim to speed up a slow computer and how little down to earth, easily accessible information there is for easily fixing things yourself first. You don’t want to spend a lot of money fixing the engine if you’ve got four flat tyres. So our own frustrations were the driver behind the creation of MySlowComputer.com
We’ve seen all the software that’s available to optimise, tune, speed up and generally fix your PC for FREE but in reality, more often than not, all you get is a partial scan, a lot of reported problems and a quote for a fix. Some are better than others, but it’s always best to select a product once you’ve completed some basic investigations yourself first.
Once you’ve tried what we have to teach you and things still aren’t right (chances are they will be though) we will provide honest reviews and recommendations on products you can buy at discounted rates, if possible. This will take you’re techniques for speeding up your PC to the next level on a sound footing. But do not try the next level until you’ve gone through the basics, which we’ll be showing you, first; otherwise you’ll be wasting your time and money. Again, it would be like going for an engine tune up when you’ve got four flat tyres.
These techniques are the ones we use ourselves to great effect. We understand that when the PC is just a tool for you and you’ve no real interest in using it other than for a given purpose, you don’t want to spend hours fixing and maintaining it. So our objectives are:
1) Provide you with FREE information on how to easily improve your PC performance
2) Show you how to fix common PC performance problems
3) Stop those morning slow boot up frustrations
4) Extend the life of your PC (you won’t buy a new one whilst the current one works just fine)
5) Test and review products on your behalf so when you do invest some money, it’s money well spent.
6) And lastly, gently advise on the best user behaviour for ensuring a hassle free PC experience.
So, please go ahead and enter you name below, and just as soon as it’s available we’ll get this invaluable report over to you.
